INERTIA 02 + 03

INERTIA explores the tension between stillness and movement. Minimal forms emerge through applied force, holding a sense of motion in suspension—energy contained just before the point of release. The work is driven by an interest in how presence—almost a sense of soul—can be perceived within an immobile object.

Each piece is hand-sculpted along its entire length through a process of bending, deconstruction, and reconstruction. Light is embedded within the form and diffused through the material itself, creating a quiet internal glow. Whether experienced individually or in dialogue with other suspended works, the surrounding air becomes an active part of the composition.
