Inertia Lighting Series

The Inertia Lighting Series is an expansion on my body of work. My intention is to push the limits of material in order to evoke a sense of movement within a still object. Form in motion comes together with soft, tranquil light to transform any intimate space, or as a design feature in a more expansive setting. Air space between multiple ceiling hung sculptures creates an eloquent sense of connection within the language of art and design. 

Materials

The Inertia Lighting Series is orchestrated by layering and bending wood into free flowing compositions. I hand sculpt the entire length of the piece. LED strips are then positioned between the layers, allowing the material to soften and diffuse the enclosed light. Sight specific commissions available upon request.
